Yesterday I arrived home to find a lovely, sweet-smelling package from my Secret Vegan Pal, Sharon – hurray! I was also excited to see that my Vegan Pal lives near Philadelphia, my most favorite city in the U.S.!
The package contained a wonderful array of spices and herbs which is PERFECT seeing as LG and I just re-committed to eating more at home and picking new dishes to prepare. I am especially excited to use the Thai spice mix and the Star Anise! Yay! Hm….as I am looking at this photo I realize that I forgot to bring the chocolate with me to work. Shoot.
Sharon is quite the craftswoman – she makes her own soap! I can’t wait to try this out, I think I will save it for the doldrums of February to help cheer me up.
And the yarn!! Sharon sent me two skeins, one of Soy Silk tape in a beautiful color scheme of tans and blue and the other from Cherry Tree Hill in a cotton tape! I am going to dig through my endless supply of patterns and find something appropriate for these beautiful skeins!
Here is yet another example of the kindness of humans. Sharon, similar to my poor Tea Pal, had to resend my package as it was returned to her by the Post Office! What a pain I seem to be for my Swap Pals! Thank you for being on top of your game and sending my box of vegan goodness AGAIN!
Thank you so much Sharon! Everything is great!

I love that cotton tape! Sharon’s been wonderful at introducing me to “wool-free” yarns.
Nice package and lovely colors!
